Whew! We've been busy....
Many, many thanks to the PNE guys, Jermaine, Emek, & Justin, for including Jeff as a guest artist on the Audioslave series.
Audioslave Philly- can you pass the Kool-aid test? Jeff gets funky with psychedelic stuff on this series!
Audioslave Atlanta- I'd be screaming, too, if someone branded my forehead!!
Audioslave Portland - sort of a nod to Bonnie McClean & Wes Wilson on this one.... colors are slightly different on the poster.

Released on 4/25/05 above:
Moonshine Still - a take off of the album design Jeff did for the [R]evolution CD cover just released. We'll post pics of the CD package soon.
Audioslave Austin - Gettin' into the groovin' - Audioslave wanted a psychedelic influence for this series of posters, and we tried to deliver. The lettering forms a lotus flower....

Benevento-Russo Duo - This poster was created as part of the Sasquatch Festival's poster series. Thanks to the hosts of this event for including a poster series.
John Butler Trio - Very limited edition for an amazing group of musicians. These guys are touring the US now. Go see them.
Umphrey's McGee San Fran - Who doesn't love a dragon? Influenced by the history of San Fran's Chinatown, but customized with guitar, drumsticks, and martini glass! Imagine this framed in a red satin mat and black lacquer frame.....

Wavy Gravy 69th B-Day Bash - The beautiful illustration on this poster is by artist Ralph Walters who collaborated with Jeff to create this delightful tribute to Wavy on his 69th birthday. Temple Ball Gallery has this print signed by Wavy & Wood, so anyone wanting a truly cool keepsake should check there. We've got a few signed only by Jeff.
Derek Trucks Spring Tour - These guys put on a phenomenal performance at the Wanee Festival... check them out if they are at a venue near you. Poster is approx 18x24" and printed on French Barn Speckletone.

March '05 Poster Releases
The Umphrey's McGee poster, by artist jeff Wood, is actually from Feb., and is for their Winter Tour stretching from 2/12 to 4/30.
The Langerado poster, by Jeff Wood, was sold at the event & there are still a few copies available through the Langerado web site and Drowning Creek.
The first reports are coming in from Jam in the Dam, & it sounds like we missed a good 'un. All of these posters will be available Tuesday at 2pm EST.!

Mothersbaugh Madness
Exciting news! We will be producing a very small S/N Limited Edition poster for the Mark Mothersbaugh Beautiful Mutants Show at the Temple Ball Gallery in Carrboro, NC. Mothersbaugh, well known for his role as a member of the group DEVO, also produces some very bizarre photo art. In his own words: "Corrected photos pulled from man's past. Mutated into sickeningly beautiful beings. A study of humans via symmetry." All we know is these are some really cool pieces and each mounted in a vintage frame ready to hang in your home.

Rock The Earth
If you're into music, art, and the environment, check out what the good folks at Rock the Earth are doing. These guys and gals are getting some major support from the music community and they will be offering items for sale and auction to help support their work. Currently they are offering special gift packages for people who join by making a donation. The prints created by artists EMEK, Gary Houston, Jeff Wood for Living Tree Paper are being offered along with other goodies from Jam Cam & Pure Hemp.

Drowning Creek 2005 Subcriptions
Thanks for the tremendous response. All subscriptions sold out in less than 5 minutes. As the year progresses, we'll post the contents of each set for posterity's sake.

Book News

Look for posters from Drowning Creek Studio in the new Art of Modern Rock book, co-authored by Paul Grushkin and Dennis King. The book is now available, and is the long awaited (and amazing) follow-up to Grushkin's first book, The Art of Rock. No poster collector should be without this beautiful book!

Well, we are in the SWAG book, too. All 3 submissions we made were used. Yay us.

DCS in print!
Check it, yo.... many thanks to Headquest Magazine for the bitchin' spread in this month's magazine! The article was written by Johnny Thief, at the request of HQ. And no, we didn't tell him what to say, but who better to write the article than someone who watched DCS evolve from the first printing on our kitchen table? Johnny is also this month's featured cover artist. Congrats, Johnny!

Richard Biffle, Stanley Mouse, Mike Dubois, Mikio Kennedy, Rob Cohn, Jeff Wood, Scramble Campbell, Kesey and more all at Funky Monkey Art Show in Boulder Co., July 4th-30. Thanks to Ray at The Funky Monkey and Mr. Biffle for putting this together! (July 2003)

Jeff was asked to do Trey Anastasio's Spring Tour Poster.... what a pleasure it was to work with the Phish Drygoods crew! The poster was only available at the shows, and it's our understanding that the 750 pc edition sold out before the tour was over. FYI, we do not have any of these, so begging by email won't help! Jeff also designed one of the shirt designs for the tour. Both the poster and the shirt design are ©Phish Drygoods. (Spring 2003)

Ordering Info

Drowning Creek's store is a secure site, & orders are encrypted using Thawte security. Any personal information, including credit card info, is stored in an encrypted form for a short time before being deleted from our hard drive in the shop. Because we use frames on our site, the secure lock and "https" normally associated with secure sites does not show on the ordering page, but rest assured, your information is indeed encrypted and going through a secure server.

All posters are shipped rolled. We tried sending posters flat, but a high percentage of those were damaged in the mail. We ship in heavy-duty Yazoo Mills tubes so that your order will arrive as it was sent. Tubes are very carefully packed, and need to be very carefully unpacked. We will not replace posters damaged as a result of being bent or creased when removed from the tube. Please unpack your posters carefully by twisting the contents so that they loosen enough in the tube to be removed without damaging the posters.

Poster measurements are approximate - the actual size will proabably vary from the even measurements listed with each poster. It's always a good idea to wait until you have the print before you order a matte & frame.
