General DCS Announcement

Hi folks,

I am posting this here, and a couple of other places.... hopefully most people will see it one of the places I post it.

It's a long story that I do not have time to recant at the moment, but Jeff, one of our cats, and I have been exposed to a rabid bat. This would not usually be an issue, but seems the cat never got a rabies shot, even though we thought it had. We are waiting to find out more details, but to make a long story short, the laboratory breached protocal and did not notify us for TWO WEEKS that the bat was rabid.

Anyway, we're trying desperately to get our work done, but we are behind on everything due to this. Also complicating matters is that we are trying to pack for Bonnaroo, and Wakarusa.

We appreciate the concern from everyone, and hope to report good news soon, althogh it looks like Sid (the cat) will have to be quarantined for 6 months.
