And with the New Poster......

...you all realize that this means Jeff has got his print floor in order and prints lined up ready to go!! Yay!!

We are slowly getting back on track here after a tumultuous summer and fall starting off with some major work behind the scenes. I've posted a few updates about it already, but allow me to go ahead and post a little more info.....

We're in the process of upgrading our store software. For those of you who have never fooled around with something like that, it's an extremely time-consuming job. For those of you who do write code, I'm sure you can empathize. It's been especially time-consuming because after I started working on the store, I realized how many broken links and incorrect info we've had for goodness knows how long now. A lot of items in the site weren't able to be pulled up with the search engine. And, the organization of the gallery sections left a little to be desired.

I'm trying to correct all of this. It's going to take a lot more time with over 400 different listings to check and double check, but I'm well into it and it's starting to shape up nicely.

Something else I've been trying to get done is to put all items available for sale into the web store or back into the web store if they were ever there before. Where are these prints coming from? I'm pulling some out of my vending inventory, some from my framing drawer, some were held back during releases in the case I needed to replace damaged prints, some just missed being inventoried and some APs and handbills just somehow never made it into the store. I've already lost track of how many I've added back already, so there is not going to be a concise list of each item I added. In most instances, there have been 1-6 prints added for any given print. I am going to continue to add prints until every single print that is for sale under this roof is available to be purchased online.

In addition to the above, I've added a couple of categories to the store section. One for Handbills of prints that are sold out and a Scratch and Dent sale section. I'm pulling the DCS prints from the OOAK section and added them to one of the other categories. I'll start loading the OOAK section down with prints from Jeff's and my personal collection along with some other weird stuff like a few skate decks.

I have a metric crap ton of Scratch and Dent items to be added to that section. In the instance that a S&D poster is from a Sold Out edition or is still available in the store section, I will create a new listing for the S&D poster(s). This means if you do a search for "Allman" you'll pull up a listing for the regular store items and there may be another listing that at first looks identical, but is for the S&D item(s). S&D prints will be priced out according to current retail price of the mint poster and how damaged they are. I will do my best to describe damage to the prints, and in fact will probably make most of them sound worse than they are just because sales for these items are final.

There are still many, many items to add, and much work to do on the details, but I wanted to post this since I am already taking orders on prints I've just added and I don't want anyone to think I'm holding out info on them. If you're looking for a particular print, check and see. It might just be there.... and if you place an order in the next couple of days before the release , just let me know and I'll combine orders for you if you place another during the release. And about the release....

I mentioned that I might be doing a release this Thursday.... it looks like that is going to happen. I've got 2 Umphrey's McGee posters to put in the store and if things go well on the press, it looks like we'll have an art print taboot. As usual, it will likely be at 2pm, but I'll update as I know more....

I'm sure there is something I've forgotten, but I'm tired and it's late.

Updatery on the Web Store, etc.

I've almost completed the first phase of getting all items currently in the web store to have an accurate inventory.... you won't be able to see the changes on your end except for the items I'm adding that were not in the store. And I'm switching a few things around for easier surfing/shopping. The stuff that wasn't in the store are some of the stray copies of different posters that somehow either got held back during their release or maybe there were a few APs of something that never were put in the store. Some have been stored away in drawers waiting for me to frame them.... anyway, I'm putting ALL of the copies I have of any DCS posters in this building in the web store with the exception of the ones wrapped for vending.

Additionally, Jeff and I will be adding a lot of items to the OOAK section in the next week or so, many items from our personal collection including a few skate decks and other weird stuff.

Taking Care of Business......

Well, the changes on the web store are still very much in process although some of you will start to notice subtle differences in the organization and details. In addition, there will be pricing increases in a substantial number of posters that are well on their way to being sold out. Now that we've gotten a good inventory count finally, we'll also be checking to make sure that all available copies of each print are in the store.

We are also re-networking or computers and installing a butt load of upgrades, so be patient! We promise to come up for air soon with some new prints.

I am tentatively scheduling a release for Thursday, November 1. Wait til yo see what I've got for that....

Shopping Cart Updates Being Made....

OK, folks, I know it's been very quiet from our side of the internet for the last couple of months, but it doesn't mean we haven't been working on all sorts of stuff. Currently we are making some much needed updates to our shopping cart and web store. There may be some glitches that we will have to work out, but we're hoping that we'll have most of them completed in the next couple of weeks. I'm also working on updating the individual poster listings to be more detailed and more accurate. It is a very slow process as I can only work for a short amount of time on that before I have to do something else.

Jeff is working on artwork for upcoming posters... look for an art print soon as well. He'll be spending some time stretching screens soon, too. Fun, fun!

On the home front, if anyone is interested, Jeff and I are both trying to utilize our weekends working on our house and our yard. Jeff has almost finished the slate floor in his room and I am well into clearing the 1/4 acre that we had logged out earlier this year due to pine beetles. Once I get the area cleared, there will still be much work to do leveling and adding top soil before I can plant our little fruit tree orchard.

We are sad to say we will not be attending this year's Cannabis Cup due to all of the above. We've been traveling so much these last 2 years that we really needed to take some time to work on the house, yard and web site without having to rush to get ready for a trip. Call it cacooning if you will....

I'll update as Jeff gets designs done and as I have news on my end. Til then, carry on!

The 2007 Cannabis Cup Poster

Here 'tis.... this year's official Cannabis Cup poster. Not sure how many colors yet, but I'll update it when I find out. The black border is not a part of the poster; it's Jeff's new display schtick. This will be available in Amsterdam during the week of the 18-24, and then on our site shortly after those dates.
