Back in the US of A....

Just a quick note to let y'all know we're back in the shop today and will be answering emails and processing orders as quickly as we can. If you have written once or twice while we were gone, please be patient while we answer each email in order.... writing me again won't get a faster reply.

We will send an email with details of Thursday's release and post the same here on the blog tomorrow.

I will have to spend a little time organizing all of the Preferred Buyer reservations, so if you are waiting to hear back confirmation on that, please be patient and I will make sure you know your account is activated.

That's all I can think of right now, but I will add anything if I come across something else needing to be addressed.

Thanks,
Judy

Out of Studio Notice - Jam in the Dam

From March 12 to March 31, Jeff and Judy will be out of the studio. Jeff has done the poster for Jam in the Dam for the last 3 years and this year, the 4th Anniversary, we're finally getting to take a trip over to experience it for ourselves.

During the time we are away, NO ORDERS WILL BE PROCESSED OR SHIPPED. Please be patient if you place an order during this time as there won't be anyone to get the orders processed until Judy gets back in the studio on March 31. It will take a couple of days to sort through everything and orders should start shipping April 2nd.

Please pass this on as needed. Thanks!

Langerado, JitD, UM San Fran April Release

Hey folks, I'm getting emails asking when these posters will be available, so here's the info: Jeff and I are leaving for Amsterdam on Wednesday, March 12. We will not return until March 28 and will not be in the studio until March 31. Due to this, we will not be adding the 3 posters to the web store until the first week or so of April. We will do an announcement by email and also here on the blog. Please keep an eye out for those announcements.

Also, we are getting a lot of hard bounces when sending out our newsletters. If you are on the mailing list and did not receive the email I sent about the Preferred Buyer's Club and Subscriptions, then you are either not on the mailing list, your email server is bouncing our newsletters or they are getting caught by your spam filters.

I will add release dates and info as I know it to the blog. When we get the new site up, all this info will be there. We'll also have a place to print our newsletters in full on the new web site.

2008 Subscriptions - Here's the Details

It's shaping up to be a great year here at the studio. We have lots of music jobs booked from our regular customers, and a some new clients also. Jeff also has a bunch of art prints coming out this year, some based on past poster art, the continuing Asian art series and some brand new original work. Jeff hopes for the first time in over twenty years to make some original paintings available to the public.

For over a year now, Jeff and I have known that we would be faced with either discontinuing or revamping the way we do subscriptions due to the changes in our studio, and how many and what kind of prints we are doing. We've also a need to somewhat structure our amount of time spent in the studio to allow for a more balanced work/home situation.

The way the subscription has worked in the last years will change this year. We've scheduled 16-20 music posters this year with the rest of the time to be dedicated to our own artistic pursuits and art prints. Trying to price a subscription to include both music posters and art prints was looking either cost prohibitive or had us tied to the press to fulfill a time prohibitive schedule with enough prints to justify that cost. Either way, we could not come up with a unified agreement on the matter.

We've instead made a very different decision to split the music posters and the art prints into two separate purchasing options.

The Music & Event subscription will be available for the cost of $500. This includes all posters done in 2008 for our music clients. There will be the usuals like Jam in the Dam, Umphrey's, PGroove, Derek Trucks, New Monsoon, Caribbean Holidaze, & Jam Cruise. The Gathering of the Nations (this one will be a litho print) and any Conscious Alliance prints will be included as well. The Music subscription will also include one special art print valued at $100 at some point during the year.

We are additionally setting up a Preferred Buyer Club section on our web site for the art prints we will be doing this year. An initial payment of $100 will give participants the guarantee of being able to purchase all art prints we create without having to sit in front of the computer hitting the refresh button on release day.

Here is the schedule & details for each of the 2 subscription options:

Music & Event Poster Subscription:

$500 includes all event posters created in 2008, one art print valued at $100 and includes shipping for 3 tubes. International subscriptions will be slightly more to compensate for additional shipping.

Shipments tentatively will be made in June, November and February of 2009.

Payments can be made in full or 1/2 down when reserving the subscription in March with the second half due in June.

Payments can be made through Paypal or by credit card, but we will require a valid credit card if Paypal is chosen or if the payments are broken down into 2 payments.

A certificate of Authenticity will be provided as validation for the set and will be sent sent with the last tube.

There will be a limit of 40 of these subscriptions with availability subject to renewing current subscribers who will be contacted first and given the opportunity to renew their subscriptions from last and previous years. Any available subscriptions will be added to the web site April 3rd and will be able to be purchased at that time first come, first serve via a link on our site.

Art Print Preferred Buyers Club:

A $100 initial payment reserves a guaranteed chance to buy one of any art print we produce in the next year. Preferred buyers will receive 10% off the retail price of the prints and their prints will ship first. This payment also includes a special art print as explained below.

The option to buy into the Preferred Buyers Club will be available until the 30th of September or until we reach our undisclosed limit, but will only allow early purchase on prints released after the buyer's membership has been initiated. Buyers cannot retroactively reserve or purchase prints at the discount, even if they are still available on our site.

We are leaving the number of PBC subscriptions available open right now. Print edition sizes will be determined to accommodate the number of Club members, as well as, a number available to the public and galleries. Edition sizes will be between 100 and 250 pieces on prints.

Though offered, PBC members are not obligated to buy every print. Reserve & purchase only the prints you want.

We will not be able to fulfill requests for specific numbers. Sorry, we tried to think of a way to do it, but it's just not possible at this time.

PBC members will be contacted upon each scheduled release and will have one week to submit their order and reserve a print. After that week is up, the print will be released to the public. Only Preferred Buyers will be able to purchase early or get the discount.

Here's the cool part: both subscriptions will receive a special art print valued at $100 or more at sometime during the subscription year. Jeff plans on doing this special print in a very limited edition for this. We want to make the packages a great value and well worth the money spent.

Our next art print will be released around April 17-18.

Membership can be initiated now our web site. There is a link on the main page.

I will try to answer any questions about the subscriptions here on our blog before we leave. When it's time for the first art print to be released, we will list more specific details about how to order.
